So we all knew he was guilty when he told congress “I’m not here to talk about the past.” So why is this such a big deal? This is a big deal because details of Baseballs “Steroid Era” have been slow to come out. A player here a player there has been named. Most have chose to deny the allegations like McGuire did. Some were smart like Jason Giambi who admitted it right away. How often do you hear his name brought up when the steroid topic is discussed?
Now that McGuire has admitted it do you think Clemens and Bonds follow suit? I hope they do so we can move on but I think these two have dug their heels in more than most have. They also have an issue with having “allegedly” lied under oath.
As a lifelong baseball fan I wish all players would come clean so we can get back to enjoying the game that my Father and Grandfather enjoyed.
